Where Sylvia and I currently work, they give us our schedule a month in advance. On November 30th, I printed our schedule for December. Because of the Holidays, our schedule was adjusted by the Manager "30-minutes" here and there.
I always take our schedule, that we print-out at work, and create a slightly larger version, in order to more-easily see the days and times we work… and so we can check-off the days we've already worked.
- Ever since Sylvia crossed-over, once I leave work… once Sylvia and I leave that building, it's just "us". Other than buying groceries, we don't "see", "talk-to" or, otherwise, "interact" with anyone until we go back to work… and we only work part-time (28-hours a week). So, by crossing-out the days on a paper Calendar, it helps me keep the correct "day" and "date" in my mind.
Anyway… On November 30th, I printed our schedule, brought it home and created our version (with our computer).
I specifically remember looking at December 21st and not only seeing that we have to work an extra 30-minutes but that we also have to go in to work the next day (December 22nd) a whole hour earlier than normal. I remember mentioning this to Sylvia, when I saw it. I then carefully entered our entire schedule into a Calendar-making program that Sylvia and I own. I checked and double-checked those "days" and "times".
Last night, just before going to bed, I looked at our schedule for "today" and saw that we're supposed to work later by a half-hour. I then saw that we have to go in an hour earlier on Friday. Even now, after these horrible 349-weeks, I have to still make sure my mind is working like it's supposed to… So I pulled-out the printed schedule that we made a work…
- What?! No where on that piece of paper does it show us going in to work an hour earlier… on ANY day in December!
Today, when we got to work, I used the Employee Computer to pull-up our December schedule and saw that it now shows we DON'T go in an hour earlier on Friday! Granted, the Manager could have changed the schedule BUT:
- She would have asked us if this was ok before she did it… and
- There's no way anyone could have changed the copy of that schedule that was sitting inside my desk at home!
So, for "us", I'm calling this a change in "Timelines" or "Realities".
